Tamilnadu Institute of Labour Studies (TILS), a school known for its excellence, is one of the pioneer management institutes first of its kind in South India. Ever since its inception in 1973, it has grown from size to size and has been focusing on management studies more particularly concentrating on Human Resource Management. This institute is run by Department of Labour, Government of Tamilnadu.
Tamilnadu Institute of Labour Studies Alumni Association (TILSAA) is a body of Alumni’s of TILS provides an excellent platform for networking of business leaders, HR and IR professionals, Academicians and Government officers. The Alumni of the institution prides itself in having many of its members holding key HR positions in Manufacturing, Construction, Information Technology, ITES, BPO, Banking, Consulting, Media, Public sectors and other sectors.
This association is a registered society with over 500 Alumni with many of them in key positions with some of the big names in the industry such Dalmia Cement, Nokia , GE, Ford , Hyundai, TCS , Wipro, TVS, Mando, Rane, Federal-Mogul, Saint-Gobain, Unilever, Bharat Petroleum, NLC , IOCL, L&T to name a few. The Association also prides in having many entrepreneurs in its group with interests varying from manufacturing, Health care, Legal, software technologies, construction, consulting and other sectors.
Annual Alumni Meet is one such event, which attracts attendance of a large number of TILSians and distinguished guests around the country. This year, the Annual Alumni Meet - 2013 is being organized on March 16, 2013 (Saturday), at Hotel Accord Metropoliton, Chennai and the event is titled as “TILS Rendezvous 2013”. This event highlighted by a HR Conclave, reunion of batches, Alumni and best HR Practitioners Awards, Cultural events and Unveiling of TILSAA website.
